Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry refuted the
claim of the Armenian side that ceasefire was violated and an Armenian
soldier was killed by Azerbaijani soldiers.
Deputy chief of the ministry’s press service Teymur Abdullayev told
APA that the report of the Armenian Defense Ministry’s press service
was not true.
"We have got information that Sarkis Voskanyan was killed as a result
of the shooting between Armenian soldiers. An Armenian soldier was
seriously wounded. A group of doctors of Yerevan central hospital
were sent to the front. Armenian Military Prosecutor’s Office has
launched criminal case on the fact, three have been arrested," he said.
Armenian Defense Ministry had stated that junior sergeant Sarkis
Voskanyan was killed as the Azerbaijani servicemen fired near Chinari
village of Tavush region.
