Erdogan urges diplomats to react promptly to Armenian accusations

Recep Tayyip Erdogan "Today Turkey is not the country it was 20 years ago".

Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on diplomats to protect
the national interests of the country more actively at the annual
meeting with the Turkish ambassadors held in Ankara.

"Today Turkey is not the country it was 20 years ago. This is a
rapidly developing country which is heard by everyone. We should take
an active part in combat with terrorism and in other issues", he said.

Erdogan also spoke in details on the Armenian issue and he urged the
world diplomats to react promptly on their accusations: "We cannot be
responsible for the past, we must think of future and if we face
injustice we should react stiffly on it".

He also told diplomats that 72 mln citizens support the diplomats
being award that they will worthily represent Turkey abroad: "Do not
fear anything, you have been appointed to these positions to defend
Turkey’s interests and be always sure that the state, the government
and people will always support you", Sabah newspaper reads.
