ArmenTel (Beeline) CJSC’s sole shareholder, Russian telecommunications
company VimpelCom, is looking into the possibility of selling mobile
phones, including the Blackberry, in Armenia.

As reported by our Tert.am correspondent from Moscow, this news was
announced by VimpelCom’s CEO Boris Nemsic, who didn’t exclude a similar
possibility in all those markets in which the company is represented.

At the same, Nemsic was unable to state when the well-known trademark
mobile phones would appear in the Armenian market, since that depends
on the outcome of talks with the manufacturers.

Vimpel-Communication’s Executive Vice-President Dmitry Pleskonos,
likewise, noted that the sale of the Blackberry in CIS (Commonwealth
of Independent States) markets is in VimpelCom’s centre of attention.

The company is going to propose those markets with the same conditions
as those of Russia.
