Everyone must be aware of the fact that the Nagorno-Karabakh people
had to defend their independence with their blood, fighting a war
imposed on them, RA president Serzh Sargsyan stated at a meeting with
a parliamentary delegation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)
on December 15.

"The Nagorno-Karabakh people believe that, on the one hand, they
returned to the historical justice perverted by the authoritarian state
of the Stalin times and, on the other hand, ensured the necessary
conditions for their physical survival. We have repeatedly stated
that, as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, we must
find solutions which would not result in new deportation and ethnic
cleansing. Solutions are available and the only thing that remains
is for people to see them, to be able to differentiate dreams from
reality. I am sure that time will not leave any alternative in this
matter," the Armenian leader said. "But we must also be well aware that
the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process can only be crowned with success
provided the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is immediately involved
in the negotiations. I am sure time will not leave an alternative
to this as well. I hope that the leaders will finally realize their
commitments to ensure peaceful and prosperous future, and the problems
between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh will be resolved. It cannot
be otherwise," the Armenian leader said.

The RA presidential pres office told NEWS.am that, at the NKR
delegation’s request, the Armenian President outlined the latest
developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. The Armenian
leader stressed that he informs NKR President Bako Sahakyan of all
the details of the negotiation process.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
