KAREN VARDANYAN: EVERYTHING IS BEING DONE FOR THE FINAL COLLAPSE OF THE IT SPHERE

The Government of Armenia has declared the Information Technologies
a priority. Representatives of the sphere assert, however, that
everything is being done to bring to the final collapse of the sphere.
Concrete steps hindering the development of the field, especially
those connected with the requirements of law, were presented during
today’s meeting between representatives of the IT sphere and the
officials of the tax service.
Although representatives of the tax service expressed willingness to
reconsider the problematic provisions together with the Government,
the Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises Karen
Vardnyan declared it would not help solve issues, since, according
to his information, the Government is currently working out projects
that will hinder the development of the IT sphere.
