/PanARMENIAN.Net/ By saying `reasonable timeframes’, Turkey means
April 24, 2010, according to Caucasus Institute Director Alexander
Iskandaryan.

`I don’t think this is a tough deadline, but such likelihood is
great,’ he told today a joint news conference with management expert
Harutyun Mesropyan.

The date is very important for Armenia too, since the road map signed
between Armenian and Turkish leaders on April 23, 2009, enabled U.S.
President to avoid using the word «Genocide» in his annual address,
Harutyun Mesropyan noted for his part. `The phenomenon has another
negative aspect since April 23 marked the start of Armenia-Diaspora
conflict,’ he stated.

Disagreeing to the above viewpoint, Alexander Iskandaryan added that
Diaspora started Genocide recognition campaign much before Armenia’s
gaining independence. `Nevertheless, Armenian Diaspora will continue
its struggle for the simple reason that Genocide recognition forms
part of its self-identification,’ he stressed.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
