Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul referred to the Armenian-Turkish
normalization protocols during the ‘Political talk" TRT TV program.

"Normalization of the relations with Armenia means settlement of the
situation in the whole region of the Caucasus," Gul said.

According to the President, the official Ankara initiative to resume
the relations with Armenia has brought the Nagorno-Karabakh forgotten
issue to the agenda.

As Gul said, both the US and Russia are in accord with the idea.

The stability and security in the Caucasus cannot be established unless
the Armenian-Turkish relations resume. The President highlighted
that Armenian-Turkish normalization may have a positive impact on
the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Gul excluded any tensions between Turkey and Azerbaijan and stated,
"Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation, two states."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
