"Azerbaijan’s concerns over the Turkey-Armenia relations are
understandable," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said in an
interview to the Turkish newspaper Sabah on the eve of his Ankara
visit.

"Azerbaijan’s concerns over the Turkey-Armenia relations are
understandable. Azerbaijan should be informed about the Turkey-Armenia
rapprochement," Nazarbayev added.

The president said peace and stability in the Caucasus will promote
positive resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Nazarbayev said he is one of those who are trying to establish peace
in the Caucasus and normalize the Turkey-Armenia relations.

The public of the two countries should be informed about these issues,
Nazarbayev added.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
