Yerevan (Yerkir) – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Azerbaijani
President Ilham Aliyev met at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in
Chisinau on October 8. As at their previous meeting in Moscow, the
foreign ministers of the two countries, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs
Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France), and Robert Bradtke
(US), as well as Personal Representative of OSCE Chair-in-Office
Andrzej Kasprzyk entered the hall together with the presidents. A
little later they came out of the hall and the presidents continued
their meeting face-to-face.

The foreign ministers, co-chairs and Personal Representative of
the OSCE Chair-in-Office again joined the presidents at the end of
the meeting.

After the end of the meeting, too, the presidents were in high spirits;
they left the venue, while the co-chairs spoke to journalists.

When speaking to journalists, the three co-chairs stated that the
presidents agreed "to meet in the near future."
