EVENING HONOURING PARAJANOV IN KIEV, UKRAINE

An evening honouring late filmmaker Sergei Parajanov and the 45th
anniversary of the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" took place
at Ukraine’s Cultural Foundation in Kiev on Friday.

Present at the ceremony was Parajanov’s widow, Svetlana Scherbatyuk,
filmmaker Roman Balayan, Kiev artist Boris Yeghiazaryan, Ukraine’s
merited artist Tamara Avetisyan and other public figures.

Following the evening honouring Parajnov, an exhibit-presentation
of young Ukrainian and Armenian painters from different Ukrainian
districts and cities also took place, reported Russian-language
Ukrainian news agency Analytics.
