/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Adam
Schiff said the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal of the United
States, prohibiting the descendants of Armenian Genocide victims file
claims against foreign insurance companies to demand payment insurance
policies, is peculiar and misguided. According to him, the Court of
Appeal had to consider that the fact of the Armenian Genocide in the
Ottoman Empire was recognized by the State of California and 41
U.S. states. "I am sure that this is a temporary phenomenon, and we
can overcome this. Unfortunately, this decision was the injury, but we
can overcome it, " U.S. congressman expressed, Asbarez.com reports.

On Aug. 20 the Federal Court of Appeals adopted a decision prohibiting
the descendants of the Armenian Genocide file against foreign
companies with lawsuits demanding payment of the unpaid insurance
policies, since the U.S. government does not officially recognized the
Armenian Genocide.
