ArmInfo. Citizens’ attitude to their country not least of all depends
on abidance of traffic rules, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan
said in the government Thursday when approving the national traffic
safety strategy.

He said road accidents with lethal outcome in Armenia several times
exceed the indicators in other states. The premier explained that
the population often neglects traffic rules and seatbelts. Police
officers should use seatbelts in order to demand drivers to do the
same, Tigran Sargsyan said.

He highlighted the necessity of active work to realize the traffic
safety strategy in Armenia. "We should increase public awareness of
the importance of this process till September 1 via Television and
press," he said.
