On July 13, 2009 Alla Khachatryan was transferred to the "Mother and
Child Health Maintenance Scientific-Research Center" to give birth,
but died due to the careless work of doctors.
A criminal case was brought up based on Part 2, Article 130 of the
RA Criminal Code at the investigative department of the RA Police on
July 14, 2009.
A complex forensic medicine examination was prescribed and samples
were taken during the preliminary inquiry.
The pediatrician-gynecologist testified that she received Alla
Khachatryan at around 3 p.m. on July 13 while working on-duty. Her
first daughter was born at 2:45 a.m. and her son was born at 3:00 a.m.
At around 6 a.m. A. Khachatryan started feeling bad and lost
consciousness. The anaesthologist instructed to immediately transfer
her to the operation room and called a brigade of reanimation
experts, as well as director of the center G. Okoyev. After examining
Khachatryan, Okoyev decided to conduct an operation, but Khachatryan
died during the operation.
A number of other witnesses were examined and preliminary investigation
is in progress.
