18 PEOPLE APPLIED TO THE MIGRATION AGENCY DURING THE FIRST HALF OF THIS YEAR TO GET A TEMPORARY SHELTER IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS: During the first half of this year 18
people applied to the Migration Agency of RA Territorial Administration
Ministry for getting a temporary shelter in Armenia.
Head of the department of the shelter applicants of the Agency Ruzanna
Petrosyan told Armenpress that all of them are from Iraq. All of them
are provided with temporary certificates of stay for three months,
after which according to the order the application is studied and
decision made on giving a right for temporary shelter in Armenia. The
study of the cases of 18 Iraqi citizens is at present in process.
During the first half of the running year 4 people applied to the
Migration Agency for getting a status of a refugee, two of which are
from Iran, one – from Uzbekistan, one – from Ethiopia.
According to R. Petrosyan connected with the inter-political situation
in Iran after the presidential elections no flow of applications to
the Migration Agency has been noted.
