Ericsson Launches Interactive Television In Armenia For UCOM

ERICSSON LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE TELEVISION IN ARMENIA FOR UCOM

YEREVAN, JUNE 24, NOYAN TAPAN. Within the framework of the agreement on
cooperation with Universal Communications (UCOM), Ericsson presents a
high-quality interactive television to the Armenian viewer. According
to the press service of Ericsson company, under this agreement Ericsson
will provide its IP television solutions and the GPON fiber-optic
technology to Ucom.

Thanks to IP television, the viewer can use the same interactive
opportunities as when using a computer: chat, web television and
access to social media networks.

IP television subscribers have an access to a specialized
multifunctional portal. This service is based on the Gigabit Passive
Optical Network (GPON) technology, which will also be delivered by
Ericsson. The introduction of the new technology will start in July.
