The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia summed up the results
of the Yerevan Mayoral election, made the decision on the members
of the Yerevan Elders’ Council, and published them. Of course,
the Armenian National Congress should be removed form that list as
the alliance decided to refuse the 13 mandates. Hence, the Yerevan
Elders’ Council will have not 65, but 52 members. The number of the
members may enhance, because, according to different information,
the government tries to find people on the HAK list, who would agree
to disagree with the HAK decision.
The 2 of the 5 forces represented in the National Assembly did not sign
the final decision of the Central Electoral Commission – the Heritage
Party and the ARF Dashnaktsutyun. The reasons are the following: the
election was held in an outrageous atmosphere with a lot of frauds,
not only the voting was breached but also the participation. According
to the political forces, the 52 percent of the participation does
not coincide with the reality, as it was 40 percent.
The Yerevan Elders’ Council will elect the Yerevan Mayor. This Mayor
will be elected under such conditions. Good luck to the Yerevan
government.
