World Boxing Championship To Start On May 23 In Yerevan

WORLD BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP TO START ON MAY 23 IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, MAY 20, NOYAN TAPAN. World Boxing Youth Championship will
start on May 23 at Yerevan Karen Demirchian Sports and Concert
Complex. 51 countries’ teams will participate in it.

RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian is the Chairman of the championship
organizing committee. 200m drams will be spent on holding the event,
34m of which was allocated by the RA government and the rest by the
Boxing Republican Federation.

Armenia’s national team continues training at Abovian sports complex
with senior coach, merited trainer Fedya Alexanian. The team of Ireland
that was first to arrive in Armenia also trains with them. F. Alexanian
told Noyan Tapan correspondent that Armenia’s boxers are in a good
sports condition.

The competitions will start at 14:00. The entrance is free.
