"The Armenian authorities responded to Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan’s
statements in Baku that the Armenian-Turkish relations would not
normalize unless the Karabakh issue was resolved, but there was no
reference to the core issue," Head of the Armenian Revolutionary
Federation (ARF) Bureau’s Hay Dat and Political Affairs Office Kiro
Manoyan told a press conference today. According to him, neither
the President, nor the Foreign Minister declared whether Armenian
would continue the talks with Turkey or not. "Azerbaijan would be
displeased to hear that Turkey’s interference in the resolution of
the Artsakh issue would destroy the talks," Kiro Manoyan said.

"In this case Armenia should tell Turkey once and for ever that
it will not tolerate such games any more and should suspend the
talks. I understand, however, why Armenia will not want to stop the
negotiations. As the President stated in a press conference, even if
the talks with Turkey fail to succeed, at least the world will know
that we were positively disposed, the reason was in Turkey. While if
we say we withdraw from the negotiations, it will come out that we
are failing the talks," Kiro Manoyan said.

According to the speaker, we had to know from the very beginning
that we had to do with a country like Turkey, that is why playing
such games with Turkish diplomacy is not understandable. We see that
the talks are producing no result. We are just losing time and other
political dividends," Kiro Manoyan said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
