Prague. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev,
who is visiting Czechia, met with president Vaclav Klaus, APA’s
correspondent reports from Prague.

The president discussed the bilateral relations and Azerbaijan-European
Union relations. Vaclav Klaus said his country attached great
importance to the relations with Azerbaijan and they wanted to open
embassy in Baku to improve the relations. Ilham Aliyev underlined the
importance of developing the political-economic relations between
Czechia and Azerbaijan. He gave detailed information to his Czech
counterpart about Nagorno Karabakh problem and said occupation of
Azerbaijani territories by Armenia posed threat to the peace and
stability in the region. The presidents also touched on the issues
related to the Eastern partnership program.
