ARMENIA, POLAND INTERESTED IN DEEPENING PARLIAMENTARY COOPERATION

Within the framework of his visit to Poland, the Speaker of the
National Assembly of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, had a meeting with
the Marshal of Senate Bogdan Borusewicz. During the conversation the
Armenian Parliament Speaker expressed gratitude to the authorities of
Poland for bringing forward the Eastern Partnership Initiative. The
interlocutors dwelt on the issues of security and stability in Armenia
and the South Caucasus region.

The same day NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met with the Marshal of Sejm,
Bronislav Komorovski. Mr. Abrahamyan assessed the current level of
Armenian-Polish relations as positive. Noting that the political
dialogue has been brought to a high level, the Armenian parliament
Speaker suggested to deepen the parliamentary cooperation between the
two countries. In this context he assessed the bilateral contacts
within the framework of international and European structures as
practical and productive.

NA Speaker is expected to have a meeting with the Prime Minister of
Poland, Donals Tusk.
