Nairi Petrosyan Appointed Armenian Parliament Speaker’s Press Secret

NAIRI PETROSYAN APPOINTED ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT SPEAKER’S PRESS SECRETARY

YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. Nairi Petrosyan, 33, has been appointed RA
NA (National Assembly) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s press secretary,
the RA NA press service reports.

In 1998, Petrosyan graduated from the Faculty of Turkish Studies,
Yerevan State University.

>From 1997-1998, he worked on the RA Foreign Ministry’s Department
for Turkey. >From 1998 to 2000, Petrosyan continued his career in
the departments for Press and Information (1998-2000) South Caucasus
(2000-2001), RA Foreign Ministry.

>From 2001 to 2003, Petrosyan was appointed Head of the RA Foreign
Ministry’s Department for the USA and Canada, and, from 2003 to 2004,
he led the ministry’s Press and Information Department.

In 2004, Petrosyan was sent to a four-year mission to Armenia’s
Permanent Representation to OSCE. Afterwards, he was appointed
Secretary of the OSCE authorized agencies and headed the department
for organization of meetings.

The newly appointed press secretary of the RA parliament speaker is
also a graduate of the Fletcher School of Diplomacy and Law, Tufts
University (1999). He has also attended courses for high-ranking
officials at the NATO Defense College in Rome (2003).

Previously, the RA NA speaker’s press secretary was TV anchor Meri
Shahinyan.
