Turkey should reconcile Russia to Georgia, a Russian economist and
politician said.

"Turkey and Russia have much in common. Bearing the EU and U.S. a
grudge, both countries can do a good job together," Irina Khakamada
told Cihan news agency.

Turkey can facilitate settlement of regional problems, according
to her.

"Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s visit to Yerevan was an important
step for establishment of peace and stability in the region. Ankara
can also mediate problems between Armenia and Azerbaijan," she said.

"If Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Turkey combine
efforts, all problems will be resolved," Khakamada said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
