/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On Mar. 4 Japanese Embassy in Armenia and Human
Health Armenian public organization concluded an agreement providing
for USD 88 000 worth household and school furniture to N16 School
for the visually impaired.

This has been the third agreement concluded between Human Health public
organization president and Japanese Embassy in Armenia Economical
Department Secretary Iida Djhiro. The first grant was extended to
Kharberd Orphanage for Mentally Challenged Children, and the second
one to N15 Yerevan School for the Deaf and Mute.

250 children from unprovided families, 80 of who are living in school,
study at School N16.

Singing, drawing, dancing, clay modeling groups are functioning at
the school.

"Number of school children has not grown, though 40 children needing
help and constant medical observation are registered in Guymri
territory only," school management noted.

"We’re trying to create favorable conditions for children and hope
they will benefit from our projects", Iida Djhiro said.

Besides donations to schools the Japanese government is implementing
the construction of electric power station in Yerevan and also,
presented several fire engines to Yerevan fire department.
