ALI BABACAN: "THE RISK OF USA RECOGNITION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IS HIGH"

The Foreign Minister of Turkey Ali Babacan has announced that there
is a high risk that the US Congress will recognize the Genocide of
Armenia in April.
In his interview to Turkish "Aqsham" paper the Foreign Minister
repeated the Prime Minister’s statement that if the US recognized the
Armenian Genocide, American-Turkish relations would suffer. "The
Americans know about it. Such developments would harm the
Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as the negotiations between
Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno Karabakh conflict," he said.
The Foreign Minister of Turkey has also announced that Turkey has
never been so close to regulate its relations with Armenia. "Today
we are living the best moments of regulating relations with Armenia
since 1915," said Ali Babacan.
