Today the discussion of the draft of law on making amendments to the
law "on TV and radio" continued in the National Assembly hearing and
after the project passed the voting.

The co-author of the draft of law Anahit Bakhshyan, the Deputy of
"Heritage" fraction, made a speech and answered to the questions
addressed to her. Deputy Armen Martirosyan asked how much the draft
of law covers PACE Resolution 1643 and whether it corresponds to all
the demands. A. Bakhshyan answered that writing a good law is not
enough and that "writing is one thing but its implementation quite
other thing."

To the question how much chances is given to "A1+" to solve its problem
of getting broadcast license, which is defined in PACE Resolution,
the co-author said that the law does not give an opportunity to solve
that problem. Hence, they drafted another draft of law to invalidate
the previous amendments to the law which rejected holding broadcast
license giving tenders.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
