PURPOSE OF UPCOMING MEETING OF OPPOSITION IS TO PAY HOMAGE TO VICTIMS OF MARCH 1 EVENTS IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. Within the period envisaged by the
law, there has been no response to the notification of the meeting
scheduled for March 1, therefore, in accordance with the current
law, a mass public event will be held in the area adjacent to the
Matenadaran at 2-8 pm on March 1.
The event will start with a meeting and be concluded with a march,
is said in the official note sent to the head of the RA police by
the member of "Republic" party’s political board Artak Zeynalian.
According to him, the purpose of the event is to pay homage to
the victims of the March 1 events in Yerevan. After the meeting,
the participants will lay a wreath at Monument to Myasnikian – in
memory of the victims. The march participants will proceed along
the following route: the area adjacent to the Matenadaran – Mashtots
Avenue – Grigor Lusavorich Street – Italy Street – Republic Square –
Nalbandian Street – Tumanian Street – Terian Street – Northern Avenue.
