Serzh Sargsyan: Criminals’ bullet was directed not only at concrete
official, but at whole law enforcement system
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 6, NOYAN TAPAN. At the February 5 consultation in
connection with RA Deputy Police Head, Police Colonel Gevorg Mherian’s
murder RA President Serzh Sargsyan demanded presenting a detailed
account on the work done to disclose the crime, the cleared up
circumstances, and the versions brought forward. He said that
criminals’ bullet was directed noy only at the concrete official, but
at the whole law enforcement system. "Gevorg Mherian’s activity of past
months was aimed at fight to liquidate corruption mechanisms, and we
should realize the very thing. We should realize and give an adequate
response. Our actions should also proceed from the very circumstance,"
S. Sargsyan said.
Police Head Alik Sargsian, National Security Service Head Gorik
Hakobian, Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepian, and head of the
investigation group established on the case, Hektor Sardarian reported
the details of the case and the main directions of the investigation
carried out on the case.
According to the RA President’s Press Office, S. Sargsyan instructed to
periodically report about the investigation results and to undertake
all measures to disclose the crime.
