Iranian Esfahan provincial TV in its 1300 gmt bulletin on 26 January
broadcast a report on a meeting among the leaders and representatives
of religious minorities of Esfahan Province, Bakhtiari, the governor
of this province and some clerics.

The leaders of the Armenian minorities in Esfahan and the south of
Iran expressed the support of the Armenians for the Islamic government
of Iran.

Sediqpur, the representative of the Jews in Esfahan also said that
belief in God, obeying the leadership and efforts towards the country’s
glory are the mutual aims of Iran’s religious minorities.

Nikdin, the representative of the Zoroastrians said that unity among
all Iranians, including the religious minorities, can lead to the
success and glory of the nation.

At the end of this meeting a statement on safeguarding the achievements
of the Islamic Republic of Iran was read and signed by the leaders
of the religions present in this meeting.
