YEREVAN, 04.12.08. DE FACTO. A meeting of the RA FM Edward Nalbandian
and Goran Lennmarker, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly rapporteur on
Nagorno-Karabakh, was held in Helsinki on December 3. The development
of situation around Karabakh talks was discussed during the meeting.

According to the information DE FACTO received at the RA MFA Press
Office, noting the importance of the Moscow declaration signed
on November 2, Minister Nalbandian said that Baku’s comments that
distorted the Declaration and attempts targeted at ignoring the items
fixed in the document hampered Karabakh settlement.

In his turn, Goran Lennmarker stated that the OSCE PA stood for
peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
