NON-FOOD COMMODITY PRICES FALL BY 0.8% IN ARMENIA IN OCTOBER 2008

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. There was a 0.8% price fall in
Armenia’s non-food commodity market in October on September 2008,
on which the fall in gasoline (6.1%) and diesel fuel prices (7.5%)
had a direct impact.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, prices of domestic
electric appliances, jewelry, building materials and cultural goods
fell by 0.2-0.3% in October on September 2008.

Prices of fuel, furniture, carpets, cosmetics, textiles, stationery,
clothes, facbrics and footwear grew by 0.1-1.9% in the indicated
period, while prices of kitchen utensils, detergents and medicines
remained at the level of the previous month.
