Muslims Put Tourniquet on Book ‘Bleeding for Allah’

Press Release 365 (press release), FL
Oct 01, 2008

Muslims Put Tourniquet on Book ‘Bleeding for Allah’

"It is Aurelius’ objective, almost scientific-method approach to the
subject of Islam and its prophet Muhammad that apparently makes
Muslims so uneasy. "

NEW YORK, NY — Every once in a while someone does something that
really pisses-off a whole population of people. Markus Aurelius’ book,
"Bleeding for Allah: Why Islam will Conquer the Free World. What
Americans need to Know", seems to have done just that. Millions of
Muslims around the world are incensed by this smallish book and have
responded en masse by having it banned in countries all across Africa
and Asia.

To see what the real deal was, I bought my own copy of "Bleeding for
Allah" on Amazon.com and perused the paperback. At first glance, it
doesn’t seem to be significantly different than the host of other
anti-Islamic texts that have recently flooded the bookstores. But it
is the subtle differences between "Bleeding for Allah" and the other
books that makes it so much more dangerous and insidious to the
Muslims. To begin with, Aurelius was not an activist, politician,
evangelist or recently enlightened ex-Muslim. He was an obscure
scientist. Not a man with an agenda. In fact, it is clear that he
initially read the Koran for intellectual insight and was so alarmed
by its violence that he spent four years studying and writing about
the subject.

Actually, it is Aurelius’ objective, almost scientific-method approach
to the subject of Islam and its prophet Muhammad that apparently makes
Muslims so uneasy. Using a detailed analysis of the Koran, down to the
very number of hateful words employed in it, the author paints a hard
to refute picture. By applying countless social and historical
references (many of them Islamic), the author re-creates Muhammad’s
pragmatic approach to his own earthly success 1,300 years ago. No
punches are pulled on the details of the Prophet’s application of
large scale murder, sexual slavery and scriptural creativity.

The mountain of facts presented by the author in "Bleeding for Allah"
clearly portrays Muhammad as a calculating and manipulative, albeit
ingenious, fakir. This portrayal is a large element of the rage felt
by Muslims against this book. However, the gruesome details that
Aurelius employs in his graphic storytelling of the Muslim genocides
waged against the Armenians, Bangladeshis and Sudanese pushes Muslims
over the edge.

Here is an excerpt from Amapedia.com that accurately reflects the
issue: "Bleeding" takes the reader on a seriously provocative,
sometimes overly bloody journey through time. It is this difficult,
yet accurate voyage that has Muslims incensed throughout the Middle
East. A quick internet search shows the level of resentment that this
book has generated in the Islamic world."

It can be seen why "Bleeding for Allah" is being so denigrated as to
be labeled "The great book of lies". Muslims are viscerally desperate
to defend their prophet and their own militant and imperialistic
history. However, by banning the reading of any book, under penalty of
prison or death, only illustrates how profoundly backward, intolerant
and blind Islamists must truly be.

Over 4 years in the making, "Bleeding for Allah" scrutinizes Islam
from the very birth of the religion.
The Koran, the Holy Book of more than one billion people
worldwide, is systematically analyzed to reflect the true nature of
its message. "Bleeding for Allah" goes the full distance in detailing
the uncomfortable and painful truth of that message.
Although touted as a peaceful religion and Islamic terrorists
dismissed as misguided fanatics, it is clear that the very words of
Allah, as voiced through the Archangel Gabriel to the Prophet
Muhammad, are anything but peaceful. Markus Aurelius, in concise and
clear fashion, gives countless examples of Koranic verse that readily
demonstrates its militancy and violence.
The author speaks to cultural bias and is quite sensitive to its
influence on interpretation. But the author finds it extremely
difficult to dismiss countless holy verse such as: "Believers, take
neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends." (Koran, 5:51)
or: "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and deal
sternly with them." (Koran, 66:9).
To further try to eliminate cultural bias, the book includes a
comparative analysis of specific words between the New Testament and
the Koran. For example, the words "punishment" and "torture" appear
600% more in the Koran while the word "love" appears 500% less.
The author carefully examines the Prophet Muhammad’s life and
outlines the gruesome details of his explosive success in the 7th
century. The shrewd Prophet creatively found divine support from Allah
for his banditry and mass murder. Sadly, more than one billion people
believe those words today.
Americans are woefully in the dark regarding the Koran. But few
Americans have taken the time to read the Koran itself. Markus
Aurelius challenges the American public to do just that. "Bleeding for
Allah" is the perfect primer.

Ahmadinejad: Religious minorities all part of ‘Iranian family’

Posted : Thu, 02 Oct 2008 14:03:51 GMT
Author : DPA

Middle East World News

Tehran – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday dismissed
Western allegations of discriminating religious minorities and said
that all minorities were part of the "grand Iranian family," the news
network Khabar reported. "The enemies (of Iran) play some games by
claiming discord between Iran and religious minorities but these games
will have no impacts as we are all part of the grand Iranian family,"
Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with the parliament deputies
representing the religious minorities in Iran.

The religious minorities include Christian Armenians, Zoroasters,
Assyrians and Jews and are acknowledged by Iran whose majority follow
the Shiite sect of Islam.

The Bahai religious sect however does not belong to the acknowledged
categories.

There have several times been charges by the West of discriminatory
policies by Iran towards religious minorities which Ahmadinejad
categorically denied.

"The religious minorities in Iran enjoy the same rights because
eventually all of us are Iranians," the president said.

The minorities also have five seats in the parliament, two for
Armenians and the remaining three for Zoroasters, Assyrians and Jews.

The Jews have the biggest challenge in Iran due to Iran’s anti-Israeli
stance and the president’s tirades in the last three years against the
Jewish state and his denial of the historic dimensions of the
Holocaust during the Second World War.

Tehran even hosted a Holocaust conference in December 2006 which was
attended by renowned neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic personalities.

While terming the conference as an insult, the Jewish society in Iran
said that it was well known in Iran that Jews were quite sensitive as
far as the Holocaust was concerned and that questioning this
historically proven fact by the system made them quite upset.

Tree Canada to Visit Armenia: Building International Bridges for
Forestry Futures Enters Phase 2

OTTAWA, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – Oct. 2, 2008) – Tree Canada President
Michael Rosen and Tree Canada Associate, Adrina Bardekjian Ambrosii
will be in Armenia from October 11-25 to share their forestry
expertise to help combat desertification. The two-week trip is the
second phase of the Building International Bridges for Forest Futures
project. In April 2008, Tree Canada sponsored two Armenian foresters,
Alla Berberyan and Gagik Amiryan, to learn about sustainable forestry
and conservation practices by touring urban and rural forests in
south/central Ontario. Project travel is financed by the Canadian
International Development Agency (CIDA).

Armenia is a small country with limited resources. Only 8% of
Armenia’s forests remain intact. Conservationists fear that the
country will become a desert within 20 years if deforestation is not
stopped. They see education as a key component in promoting the
benefits of healthy forests for the social and economic well-being of
Armenians. After the visit by Tree Canada staff, both organizations
will identify and implement practical projects that can be developed
collaboratively in the future.

Tree Canada will be visiting (amongst others):

Minister of Environment, Mr. Harutyunyan

Director, Sevan National Park, Mr. Ziroyan

Director, Gugark Forestry Agency, Gagik Amiryan

Dean Sayadyan, Agricultural University of Armenia

K. Menvelyen, Director World Wildlife Fund, Armenia and

Nazeli Vardanyan, Director, Armenian Forests (NGO)

Phase 3 of the project will consist of how Tree Canada and Armenian
officials will be able to work together to help restore that nation’s
forest cover.

individuals to support the planting of trees, the greening of
schoolyards, and other efforts to sensitize Canadians to the benefits
of planting and maintaining trees. To date, more than 75 million trees
have been planted, more than 450 schoolyards have been greened, and

Medvedev-Sarkozy Plan Must B Fulfilled – U.S. Diplomat

– It is important that the peace plan worked out by the presidents
Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and Nicolas Sarkozy of France be fulfilled,
U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte said. The U.S. is
calling on Russia to observe the truce reached with Sarkozy’s
mediation, Negroponte told a press conference in Baku on Thursday.

Russia’s actions in Georgia are not justified, Negroponte also
said. He said the U.S. and its European partners have clearly said
that they support the territorial integrity, sovereignty and
independence of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.

The U.S. in this situation wants the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to be
resolved in a peaceful manner more than ever, Negroponte said, adding
that resolving the conflict will strengthen peace and stability in the
region and will boost the security of Azerbaijan.

Russia, Armenia for Peaceful Settlements Only – Lavrov

Friday, October 03, 2008 7:57 PM

(Source: Daily News Bulletin; Moscow – English)YEREVAN. Oct 3
(Interfax) – Georgia’s aggression against South Ossetia has proved
that any attempt to resolve conflict by force is doomed, Russian
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Any attempt to resolve crisis situations by force are doomed," Lavrov
told a news conference in the wake of talks with Armenian Foreign
Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Russia and Armenia are certain that conflicts can be resolved at the
talks and by peaceful means only, the minister said.

Commenting on Turkey’s initiative to create the Caucasian Stability
and Cooperation Platform, Lavrov said that Russia welcomes any idea
that is aimed at making the situation in the region stable.

The minister also refuted allegations that Baku officially supported
Tbilisi on the first days of Georgia’s aggression against South
Ossetia. "I do not know that Azerbaijan made such statements. On the
contrary, the government adhered to balanced positions in all their
comments. Our relations with Azerbaijan are not dependent on the
situation," he said.

Commenting on Armenian-Georgian agreements to continue upholding
trade-economic relations, Lavrov said that he can only welcome this.

Armenia had problems with the delivery of goods from Georgia during
the war with South Ossetia. Lavrov expressed hope that these
agreements will allow to avoid this in the future.

Nato Eastward Expansion Not Corresponding With Real Threats is
Dangerous – Lavrov

Friday, October 03, 2008 7:57 PM

(Source: Daily News Bulletin; Moscow – English)YEREVAN. Oct 3
(Interfax) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov thinks that the
artificial NATO eastward expansion, which can be explained by the
mindset of exploring new territories, is dangerous to Russia, Russian
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"The threat is in artificial NATO eastward expansion, which takes
place as a part of the mindset of exploring new territories and which
is not justified and does not correspond with any real threat," Lavrov
told a news conference in Yerevan in the wake of talks with Armenian
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Russia, however, sees no threat if NATO evolves in an alliance that
counters real challenges and threats, the minister said.

Russia and Armenia see eye to eye on what NATO they would like to
cooperate with, he said.

Russia does have interaction with NATO, he said. In particular, both
Russia and Armenia are members of the Euroatlantic Partnership
Council, Lavrov said.

RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received newly appointed US
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia
Marie Iovanovitch.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Ambassador on appointment and
expressed conviction that the traditions of friendship as established
and sustained between the two countries since Armenia’s independence
will be successfully continued and strengthened during Ms.
Iovanovitch’s tenure in office.Noting that following the genocide of
Armenians in particular, the United States became a second homeland for
many Armenians, Tigran Sargsyan evoked with gratitude the assistance
provided to our country by the government and the people of the United
States and said it is an evidence of friendship.

As assured by the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador, she has been
enjoying quite a warm welcome since the very first days of her stay in
Armenia. She said it to be honorable for her to represent the United
States in a country with long traditions of mutual cooperation and
friendship.

Marie Iovanovitch asked the Prime Minister about his expectations as to
continued cooperation with the US Embassy and the USAID and the
priorities of the Armenian government.

Tigran Sargsyan highlighted the ongoing reforms in tax and customs
administrations which according to the Prime Minister are directly
associated with the drive for ensuring equal conditions in economic
competition, curbing corruption, building civil society and promoting
fundamental freedoms. "Should we manage to achieve a qualitative shift
in this field, we will be blessed with a better future," Tigran
Sargsyan has stressed.

The Prime Minister further said that as approved by the World Bank and
the IMF, this sufficiently ambitious program meets with some resistance
inside the country. Nevertheless, the Government has a strong focus and
will combat any such phenomena as may hinder economic expansion. He
advised that serious efforts are underway towards building up a solid
resource of highly qualified specialists in the tax and customs
systems. The Prime Minister stressed the need for introducing
risk-based monitoring and control tools. He indicated that major
business is the target number one for these reforms.

The parties then referred to the possibility of maintaining the US
government’s support to Armenia under the Millenium Challenge Program.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said to be hopeful that the upcoming
(November, 2008) MCC Managing Board meeting will give a favorable
consideration to this issue.

In this connection, Ambassador Marie Iovanovich said that stakeholders
in Washington were very much impressed by Armenia’s funding of part of
program activities in the course of this year. "This demonstrates
Armenia’s great sense of responsibility with regard to program
implementation," Ms. Iovanovich said and added that the United States
would similarly like to see as much commitment in addressing the
internal issues on the part of the Armenian authorities. Here, she
conveyed the US Government’s and people’s concerns over the arrests
conducted following the March 1-2 events. Ms. Iovanovich expressed hope
that court proceedings will be carried out in a possibly unbiased,
transparent and expedited manner, though she agreed with the Prime
Minister in that "one can hardly expect fairness of speedy justice."

Tigran Sargsyan noted that the trials are given wide publicity, they
are followed closely by the civil society at home and international
organizations abroad, with each magistrate being well aware of the
possibility of appealing their rulings with the European Court of
Justice: "Our duty is to ensure that law is enforced in full," the head
of government said.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister of Armenia wished Ambassador Marie
Iovanovich every success all the way through her diplomatic mission in
our country and assured her of the Armenian government’s readiness to
cooperation.
