AZERBAIJAN’S OPPOSITION CANDIDATE CONFIDENT NO PROBLEMS WILL EMERGE IN VOTING

Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 October/ TrendNews, corr E. Ergun/ Presidential
candidate Gudrat Hasanguluyev said he is confident that no problems
will emerge during the voting.

"Today’s voting is a big event in the life of the country. Our country
expects much from these elections. Everything runs normal. I believe
no problems will emerge during voting," Hasanguluyev said in his
interview with journalists after voting in the polling station 20 of
Yasamal Constituency Election Commission 16.

A total of seven candidates run for presidency. Hasanguluyev has
been nominated for presidency by the Unified Popular Front Party
of Azerbaijan.

He said Azerbaijani people expect presidential election to solve a
number of problems.

"Our people who take part in voting expect stability, economic
development, resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem and other issues,"
Hasanguluyev added.

A of total of seven candidates run for presidency including Ilham
Aliyev, chairman of Ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Igbal Agazade,
chairman opposition Umid (Hope) Party, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman
of Great Establishment Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified
Popular Front Party, Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party,
Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent
candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
