AZERBAIJANI HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS MEET WITH REPRESENTATIVE OF US DEPARTMENT OF STATES

Azerbaijani human rights activists Chingiz Qanizade, Saida
Gojamanly and Saadat Bananyarli held a meeting with Wendy Silmenvan,
representative of the US Department of States, said human rights
activist Chingiz Ganizade.

He said during the meeting the sides exchanged views on three
questions: the Georgian-Russian relations, election situation in
Azerbaijan, situation in the country following presidential elections
in the country.

"During the meeting we voiced Azerbaijan’s support to the territorial
integrity of Georgia and voiced hope that the West, which supported
Georgia in the South Ossetian issue, will also support Azerbaijan in
the Nagorno Karabakh issue", said Ganizade.

He noted that during the meeting they voiced anxiety over the terror
acts in Azerbaijan.
