YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. Digitalization of Armenian Public
TV and Radio may cost some $100mln, RA Minister of Economy Nerses
Yeritsyan said during the parliamentary hearings on the amendments
to the Law on Television and Radio.

The minister stressed the importance of estimating the project.

"It is impossible to say how much exactly digitalization will cost,
as this is a large-scale program," Yeritsyan said.

Amendments to the RA Law on Television and Radio were on the RA
Parliament’s agenda on Tuesday.

Digitalization of public radio and television is Armenia’s commitment
to the Association for International Broadcasting. The country is to
digitalize public broadcasting by 2015.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
