YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, ARMENPRESS; Armenia’s Levon Aronian upset Boris
Gelfand of Israel to take the lead of the Grand Prix tournament in
Sochi, Russia. The tournament is the second in a series to select a
challenger for the world championship in 2010.
After 11 rounds Aronian has 7 points. Wang Yue of China, Teimour
Radjabov of Azerbaijan and Sergey Koryakin of Ukraine each have
6.5 points.
