so that the cases of the arrested by the fact of the events of March

evidence the guilty ones should be punished and in case of absence
of evidence they should be set free.

National Congress (ANC), A. Ashotian expressed his doubt whether
it should become fully established. According to him, ideological
disagreements of the opposition parties and the personal claims
of their leaders are the basis for doubts. According to him, now
inside the opposition a struggle is going on for becoming Levon
Ter-Petrosian’s heir. And Zharangutiun party, A.

Hovannisian has not received guarantees of becoming Levon
Ter-Petrosian’s heir in the opposition field. At the same time he
noted that Raffi Hovannisian lays claim to leading the opposition in

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
