If the opposition continues boycotting the
work of the ad hoc parliamentary commission on study of the March
1-2 events, the commission will draw subjective conclusions only
on the basis of the data provided by law enforcement bodies. Aram
Safarian, a commission member, the Secretary of the NA Bargavach
Hayastan (Prosperous Armenia) faction, stated at the July 16 press
conference. He affirmed that the commission will be able to publicize
an objective and reliable document on the March 1 events only in case
of having all-round information. A. Safarian said that the second
invitation will be sent to first President Levon Ter-Petrosian and
Zharangutiun (Heritage) party leader Raffi Hovannisian to take part
in commission’s work to get that information.
According to Aram Safarian, commission’s work proceeds according to an
eventful schedule. "We have already met with imprisoned deputies, have
talked with them, have made up hundreds of protocols," he said. The

video materials from various people, besides, application-complaints
are received from relatives of people imprisoned on the March 1
