S.SARGSYAN: "NEW START IN FOOTBALL"

The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan’s article has been published
in the famous "The World Street Journal".
Armenia is a country situated in the transmission of Turkey, Russia,
Iran and Caspian Region. After the independence the development
potential of the country has not been revealed completely, said
the President.
Serzh Sargsyan said that it is already 15 year the important front line
with Turkey is closed and that no diplomatic and economic cooperation
is fulfilled with that country. The line is closed not only for those
Armenians and Turkish people who want to visit neighbor country but
also for the cooperation of any kind.
"As a president of Armenia I would like to start a new stage
of cooperation with the Government of Turkey and to improve the
relationship and open the border," said the President.
The President reminded that after he was voted as the President of
Armenia his Turkish counterpart was the first to congratulate him
and mention that a new stage of holding dialogue should start.
In order to start new stage of relationship the President of Armenia
has invited the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul to be present in
the football match between Armenian and Turkish football commands on
September 6.
"Armenia and Turkey can not and should not be permanent enemies,"
said the President of Armenia.
