STATE-PAID OBTSETRICS CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE IN ARMENIA SINCE JULY 1

ARKA

State-paid obstetrics certificates are now available in Armenia. The
certificate is a state-guaranteed document which allows those who
have obtained it to receive free medical assistance during pregnancy
and delivery.

Wednesday’s meeting at Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan
aimed to discuss the implementation of this state program. Gevorgyan
said this problem should be treated seriously for everyone to make
sure that obstetrics is free in Armenia.

An additional 1bln AMD ($3.3mln) have been earmarked from the
state budget to cover state-funded obstetrics expenses in the
country. Another 300mln AMD (close to $1mln) was spent to buy medical
equipment for maternity hospitals.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
