166 FILMS IN "GOLDEN APRICOT"

Totally 166 films from 65 countries have been listed in "Golden
Apricot" fifth international film competition taking place in Yerevan,
said Michael Stambolcyan, the leader of the festival projects. "This
year is unique as we have received a great deal of application – we
received 454 films but only 166 are allowed to take part in festival,"
he said.
The honorable guests to the festival are famous German, Serbian,
Iranian, French and Armenian producers. The festival includes
non-competitive films also for the amateur audience. Films devoted to
Armenian famous film producer Artavazd Peleshyan and William Saroyan
will be shown. "Golden Apricot" is scheduled on 13-20 July in Yerevan.
