Cornet-Am is going to provide Internet to Armenian provinces, Director
General of the Company Boris Demirkhanyan has reported.

RA Public Services Regulatory Commission has entitled the company to
operate 3660-3700 megahertz frequencies until March 23, 2017.

The company is licensed to create a radio-modem network in the Armenian
regions of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk,
Shirak, Syunik and Tavush.

"In mid July, we will launch a network of wireless broadband access
for the first group of users. Meanwhile, we will be working to expand
the range of Internet services," he said.

Demirkhanyan said at the first phase the company will be providing
Internet connection in Yerevan and 18 other towns of Armenia. In fact,
the connection will be equally good everywhere.

The towns for the first phase have been selected by a certain group
of criteria with a focus on economic and social factors.

"A study of the communications markets in the provinces has revealed
a certain advisability factor and certain priorities. However, we
cannot cover the entire territory of the country in a short period
of time. The coverage will expand stage by stage," Demirkhanyan said.

Director General of Cornet-AM also said the package of services will
grow to meet the demand of various groups of users.

Cornet-Am is the daughter company of Russian COMSTAR – United
TeleSystems open joint-stock company. -0–
