"RUSSIAN CULTURE SEASONS" IN ARMENIA

The document signed between Armenian Culture Ministry and Russian
Federation Agency of Culture and Cinematography is the logical
development of the cooperation agreement in the spheres of culture,
education and science signed between the Armenian and Russian
governments in 1995.

According to that document, Russian Culture Seasons will be held
in Armenia.

According to RA Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosian, Fomenko Theatre will
perform its "War and peace", "Family happiness", and events dedicated
to Michael Tariverdiev will be held. The composer’s well-known works
will be performed by Iosif Kabzon, Tamara Gvartsetelli, Anna Mailian,
"Meridia" trio, Armenian Youth Symphonic Band and others.

Armen Dzigarkhanian Theatre will tour Yerevan in fall.

A. Chekhov Artistic Theatre of Moscow will perform its "Hamlet"
in the framework of Shakespeare Festival.

A gala concert will be held with participation of Kremlin Ballet
solo-dancers.
