APPOINTMENT OF TRUE PROFESSIONALS IN THE COMPOSITION OF THE GOVERNMENT TO RESTORE TRUST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE POWER, EX-PRIME MINISTER, LEADER OF CHRISTIAN-DEMOCRATIC UNION THINKS

ArmInfo. Appointment of true professionals in the composition of the
government should restore trust of the people in the power, ex-prime
minister, leader of Christian-Democratic Union Khosrof Harutyunyan
said at Pastarq discussion club.
He thinks that appointment of the new defence minister and foreign
minister Seyran Ohanyan and Edward Nalbandyan respectively fully meets
the idea of appointment not by the party identification but by their
professional qualities. Both ministers are non-party.
Asked by ArmInfo correspondent to comment on Seyran Ohanyan’s
appointment, Harutyunyan replied he sees nothing strange in the
fact that the new defence minister is of the Karabakh origin. On the
contrary, Harutyunyan is sure that brilliant professional features
of Ohanyan and his popularity as a participant in the Karabakh war
should play a positive role. He also said that "the coalition may
hinder appointing of the non-coalition and even non-parliament forces
in the government".
He also added that he has not been invited yet by the leadership of
the country to take part in formation of the new government.
