EVENT IN MEMORY OF KILLED REPORTERS HELD IN TURKEY

ISTANBUL, APRIL 8, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. An event in memory
of the reporters killed in Turkey, including the editor-in-chief of
"Agos" weekly Hrant Dink, was held in the country on April 4.

The Turkish press reported that the event dedicated to the remembrance
day of killed reporters was organized on the initiative of the Union
of Journalists of Turkey. The event participants remembered all the
62 reporters who have been assassined since April 6, 1909. 99 years
ago, chief columnist of "Serbesti" newspaper Hasan Fehmi was killed
on Istanbul’s Galata Bridge on April 6.
