Today residents of Vanatur district, Hrazdan, resumed their protest
action in defense of MP Sasun Mikaelian arrested on March 12. Today
another Karabakh war veteran, Arshavir Bozinian, went on a hunger
strike, too. He has invited doctors of local medical center to examine
him. Doctors say Mikaelian suffers from a low pressure and heart
problems. Bozinian says he will never yield and will stage strikes
by the time Sasun Mikaelian is released.

According to local residents Gevorg Gevorgian who had commenced a
thirst strike earlier ceased it under police pressure.

By the way, today residents of Vanatur laid flowers on the monument
to Artsakh war victims instead of going out on a demonstration.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
