LIST OF NKR REPRESENTATIVES ABROAD TO BE EXPANDED

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 17, NOYAN TAPAN. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh has serious work to do abroad
directed at the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the deepening and
strengthening of the bilateral relations, as well as the consistent
increase in the international authority of the republic. This
statement was made by Bako Sahakian, the President of the Republic of
Nagorno Karabakh, visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March
15. Bako Sahakian mentioned that the state envisages to implement
serious programs in this respect, in particular, the list of the
NKR representatives in foreign countries will be expanded and a new
quality will be given to their work.

The President specially stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
should not limit itself only with the implementation of the functions
connected with foreign policy and the negotiation process, it should
also get more actively involved in all the spheres of the vital
activity of the republic.

Bako Sahakian mentioned the necessity for the implementation of
structural reforms in the Ministry. According to Bako Sahakian, a
special attention should be paid to the cadre policy, during which
one should be led only by principles of professionalism and estimation
of high professional capacities.

According to the information provided to Noyan Tapan by the General
Information Department of the NKR President’s staff, a wide range
of issues concerning the foreign policy and the domestic life of the
Republic of Nagorno Karabakh were discussed during the meeting.
