The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution, which does
not contradict to four resolutions of the UN Security Council on
Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, adopted in 1993.

The due announcement was made by famous diplomat and political
scientist Fikret Sadyghov.

He said this resolution also recognizes territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan and speaks of the recognition of Nagorno Karabakh as part
of Azerbaijan.

"In other words, this has become the next victory of the Azerbaijani
diplomacy over Armenia, which was reflected in the next fair assessment
of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict", said the diplomat.

He said the United States, Russia and France, mediating the conflict
settlement, demonstrate their neutrality and do not take part
in adoption of any documents from the outside acting only in the
framework of the OSCE mandate.

"I would not say that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs took the
pro-Armenian position by voting against the resolution of the UN
General Assembly, which recognizes the territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan.

"These countries consider themselves to be independent players,
contributing to the just resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict
over Nagorno Karabakh".

He said there are minimum and maximum tasks.

"For Azerbaijan the minimum task was adoption of the said resolution
by the UN General Assembly and demonstration of Azerbaijan’s supremacy
over Armenia. We have attained this goal, while the maximum task was
the support of this resolution by all largest countries, including the
United States, Russia and France. This task has not been fulfilled
yet. But it is a matter of time", said Sadyghov, adding that all
the three countries, co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group, recognize
territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

According to him, the influence of our country and its importance in
the world is growing while the world witnessed violent suppression
of democracy in Armenia, which affected the image of the country,
preferring the way of terror to the ordinary way of settling political
differences and not objecting the status of Russia’s outpost in
the South Caucasus, which is a shame for an officially independent
republic.

He said Azerbaijan should develop partner relations both with the
United States and with Russia without forgetting the need to strengthen
its own position in the region.

"Our country manages to conduct a balanced external policy, which
is welcomed both in Moscow and in Washington. Moreover, our country
has become an obvious leader in the South Caucasus region by its
economic development and significance for the whole world. Armenia
looks miserable on the background of the modern dynamically developing
Azerbaijan".

The diplomat noted that owing to its leadership Armenia does not want
to see good prospects of the fair resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

"These prospects are seen only by Armenians who really love their
country. But their intention to find the way out of the current
situation are suppressed by those who usurped the power in this
country. Superstates are also aware of it, therefore, their support to
Armenia will weaken yearly", said he and added that in such conditions
Azerbaijan should use all shortages of the enemy for the final and
fair resolution of the conflict.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
