ArmInfo. Israeli and British students refused to arrive in Armenia
because of the state of emergency.

As representative of Armenian Education Ministry Artak Agbalyan told
ArmInfo correspondent, the students had to visit Armenia in the middle
of March within the frames of the joint programme "Work and skills"
with the British Council. But because of disorders in Yerevan happened
on 1 March and introduction of the state of emergency parents of these
students said they are scared to let their children visit Yerevan. The
programme has been fulfilled since 2007. Over that period of time
British, Israeli and Armenian students had an opportunity of visiting
each other twice.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
