BOURGAS CITY COUNCIL RECOGNIZES THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

On February 28 the City Council of the Bulgarian city of Bourgas
adopted a special decision on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide
with the overwhelming majority of the votes (43 pro and 2 cons).

The main provisions of the decision include the recognition of the
Armenian Genocide of 1915, the responsibility to commemorate April
24th as the day of the Armenian Genocide victims, the demand to the
National Assembly of Bulgaria to recognize the Genocide.
