THERE EXIST POSSIBILITIES FOR EXTENSION OF RELATIONS BETWEEN ARMENIA AND EUROPEAN COMMISSION

YEREVAN, 28.02.08. DE FACTO. The issues referring to cooperation
between Armenia and the European Commission were discussed on February
28 in the course of RA President Robert Kocharian’s meeting with
Raul de Luzenberg, Ambassador, the new head of the delegation of the
European Commission to RA.

According to the Press Office of the country’s head, mentioning the
importance of establishment of the European Commission’s Permanent
representation in Armenia, RA President welcomed the mission’s new
head and wished him every success in his further activity.

Estimating relations with the European Commission as productive,
Robert Kocharian noted there were possibilities for their extension.

According to the Ambassador, the European Union is interested in
stable cooperation with Armenia. In this connection he placed special
emphasis on valuable realization of the Action Plan within the frames
of the European Neighborhood Policy.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors exchanged opinions
concerning post electoral processes taking place in Armenia.
